Essay Overview
Babson College requires two supplemental essays. The first (500 words, or a 1-minute video) is a focused Why-Babson prompt about your interest in studying business, your relevant experience or career aspirations, and how Babson prepares you to make an impact. The second (250 words) is a community essay about access, connection, and how you'll contribute to Babson's collaborative culture. Together they assess whether you understand what makes Babson distinctive and how you'll thrive there as an aspiring entrepreneurial leader.

The #1 Failure Mode
Saying you're passionate about entrepreneurship without showing evidence of entrepreneurial thinking or action. Babson is full of people who started businesses in high school. The essay must show the specific entrepreneurial instinct — how you think about problems, resources, and opportunities — not just enthusiasm for the concept of entrepreneurship.
